What can you tell me about the Special Extended Warranty being offered to U.S. customers by Cummins?

  • The Special Extended Warranty coverage begins from the time an affected owner/lessee receives the update and provides additional warranty coverage beyond the standard emissions warranty for a specific list of parts in the engine and aftertreatment system.
  • Eligible owners/lessees should receive warranty coverage documentation in the mail from Stellantis/FCA over the next few months.
  • While Cummins does not have a specific timeline for the mailings, customers can check eligibility status on Mopar’s website by inputting their VIN.

What are the customer benefits from an Extended Warranty?

  • Covers emissions and DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) system parts — catalysts, sensors, DEF tank, pump, injector, heater.
  • Warranty length is whichever lasts longer:
    – 10 years / 120,000 miles from when the vehicle was first sold
    – OR 4 years / 48,000 miles after the recall repair is completed
  • Includes parts and labor for all covered repairs.
  • Warranty becomes active once the recall work is finished.
